Even when it’s cloudy and raining, Paris is beautiful! Our friends Marie and Stephane graciously invited us to enjoy their lovely apartment (while they are on vacation) and we couldn’t be more touched. We are two lucky ex-pats.
We left Bulgaria yesterday with temperatures hovering near zero (celsius) and snow flying. We arrived to mild temperatures (in the mid-teens, maybe it’s around 50 or so fahrenheit), green grass, and a little drizzle in the air.
We went for a little run this morning around the park across the street and then ventured to a little boulangerie, where we picked up some bread, a little quiche lorraine and a few other goodies and retreated to the apartment. We’ll visit friends here during the next couple of weeks, do a little work and enjoy all that the city has to offer. We’ll stay long enough to spend a few days with Marie and Stephane and thank them in the only way we know how: good wine, great food and lots of love and laughter.

Oh, and the traffic jam from the airport … Long, entertaining ride.
The pix from the balcony look like Central Park West. How fun!
